Around 3,000 LPG gas cylinders have been washed away by a river in the floods caused by heavy rains in Maharashtra. The District Magistrate has warned the public not to take these cylinders home or try to use them if they are found anywhere.
The continuous heavy rains in the Ghats have revived the Krishna river, which has been dry for about two months. The river is currently receiving an inflow of 15,000 cusecs, leading to a rise in water levels in reservoirs and riverbanks.
