This decision has been taken keeping in mind the possibility of heavy rain.
Heavy rainfall has been forecast for coastal and Malnad regions of Karnataka. The Meteorological Department has issued an Orange alert, warning that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall and wind speed increase in Hello districts. The public has been advised to be aware.
A terrible tragedy has taken place in Nagori, Mangalore. Three people, including two children, have died as a result of mudslide hitting a house. Rescue teams have rushed to the spot and are carrying out operations, and the incident has plunged the entire area into mourning.
