The Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of heavy rain in the coastal and Malnad parts of Karnataka for the next few days. A 'red alert' has been declared in several districts including Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada and people have been advised to take necessary precautions. Those living in rivers, low-lying areas and hilly areas have been appealed to be especially careful.
Karnataka weather forecast: The Meteorological Department has declared a yellow alert in the coastal and northern interior districts due to the possibility of heavy rain. Thunderstorms are expected in many parts.
