The central government has taken steps to globally develop major tourist destinations that are not so popular in the country. Under it, 40 projects worth more than Rs 3,295 crore have been approved in 23 states. Similarly, Rs 99.17 crore has been released to the Karnataka Tourism Department.
The center has released this money for the development of tourist destinations according to global standards. Roerich and Devikarani Estate of Tathaguni, Bengaluru funded the development. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that funds have been released for the development of 40 places in 23 states.
The aim is to comprehensively develop the iconic tourism centers of the country. It has decided to provide 50-year interest-free loans to states to brand and market them globally.
The projects are aimed at promoting capital investment, developing local economies and creating employment opportunities through sustainable tourism projects.
